A home is a dream for anyone with a satisfactory income and a sense of independence. I bought my own house when I turned 25 after securing a home loan. It is a 2 bedroom apartment situated in Noida, New Delhi in India. A cozy space with a comfortable living room, a small balcony, a great Richard Burbidge staircase, well-furnished kitchen and a bathroom. My home is my pride and joy. A long, tiring day at work fades away in reclusion as I lounge in my couch in the living room in its soothing ambience. I decorated the living room with sequined chiffon white-colored curtains, and traditional Chinese pottery which I picked up from a flea market nearby. The wardrobes have been built out of recycled cherry-wood and a glass chandelier adorns my bedroom’s ceiling. A striking copy of Pablo’s Guernica hangs on the living room’s wall whereas sparkling grey tiles have been used in the bathrooms and the kitchen. My home is a feast for my eyes and a balm for my soul.
